Transition training is absolutely essential for the aviator who wants to step up to higher performance, technically sophisticated aircraft.
High Performance Transitions
Moving to a high performance aircraft means that the aviator must first understand the systems he or she will operate. Simply learning procedures and checklists is not enough. Uunderstanding the systems themselves and how they work is the key to safe and effective operation and systems management, particularly in critical situations.
Technically Advanced Aircraft Transitions
The last few years have brought a revolution in technical advances in aircraft with the advent of:
All these advances bring a tremendous wealth of important information to the aviator, but they also present a tremendous challenge. Learning how to manage not only the systems, but the huge amount of information they present.
Most insurance companies requires pilots to have a minimum amount of time and/or training prior to issuing insurance. The specific time requirements vary depending on the insurer, make and model of aircraft, and the pilot's experience.
I work with your insurance broker/agent to insure that all the requirements are met satisfactorily.
I provide checkouts in the following types of aircraft:
Recurrency training offered includes:
Owner/Pilot Provided Aircraft
All training is provided in aircraft owned or provided by the pilot. If training is provided in rental or borrowed aircraft, the pilot is responsible for assuring that training is fully authorized by the owner or company renting the aircraft for the purpose of the training.
Pilot Requirements
Pilots must possess a valid U.S. Pilot Certificate with Category/Class/Type ratings appropriate to the aircraft and operations used for training.
Due to TSA regulations and requirements, I accept only US Citizens.
